An prospect is available for an Industrial Electrician to join a well-established contractor delivering electrical maintenance, shutdowns, upgrades and project work across heavy industrial sites throughout South East Queensland.
This is a hands-on role working across a variety of industrial facilities, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault finding and upgrade work on heavy plant and processing equipment. The majority of work is based around Pinkenba, with occasional travel to other SEQ sites.
Duties
- Electrical maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy industrial plant
- Installation, maintenance and upgrades of power and lighting systems
- Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, drag chain systems and ball mills
- Preventative maintenance across production and processing equipment
- Electrical upgrades, modifications and improvement works
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Testing, commissioning and diagnosing electrical faults
- Working safely within heavy industrial environments
- Completing maintenance documentation and reporting requirements
- Experience working on conveyors, drag chain systems, ball mills or similar heavy plant
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
