Senior Employee Relations & People Risk Advisor (EL1) | Sydney CBD/ Hybrid | Ongoing Opportunity | Federal Government An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Employee Relations and People Risk professional to join a Federal Government organisation in an ongoing EL1 position based in Sydney CBD.

Working as part of a high-performing People & Culture team, you will provide specialist advice across employee relations, workplace health and safety, wellbeing, psychosocial risk, and people policy. This role offers the opportunity to influence organisational outcomes, support senior stakeholders, and contribute to strategic workforce initiatives within a complex government environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage complex employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances and investigations.
- Provide expert advice on workplace relations legislation, policies and industrial frameworks.
- Lead the development and review of people-related policies, procedures and risk frameworks.
- Support enterprise agreement implementation and industrial relations initiatives.
- Drive workplace health and safety, wellbeing and psychosocial risk management programs.
- Partner with leaders to provide strategic advice and build capability across people and culture matters.

About You

- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation,



industrial relations frameworks and workplace compliance requirements.
- Experience developing policies, frameworks and people-related initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Experience working within the Australian Public Service or broader government environment will be highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
