CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.

CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About Department The Medical Ward is located at the Sale campus of CGHS. The Unit provides acute, sub-acute (Geriatric Evaluation Management/Rehabilitation) AOD and palliative care services to patients





Key Responsibilities Supports the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to review and evaluate best practice, evidence based clinical care.

The EN at CGHS will deliver a high standard of evidence based nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The EN is expected to demonstrate the core nursing values of patient centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with patients, colleagues and visitors.

Role models a positive vision for change and supports change management at both local and organisational level Skills & Experience Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 2 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency and commitment in complying with current standards of practice

Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Proven ability to respond appropriately to high pressure situations
