This position participates in a rotating roster that includes day and evening shifts, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and a 24-hour on-call service, supporting the delivery of critical diagnostic testing when it's needed most.Key competencies (role specific criteria)You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:Demonstrate a sound level of knowledge, expertise and skill in performing and reporting infectious diseases molecular diagnosticDemonstrated knowledge, expertise, and skill in applying the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement, and an understanding of laboratory quality control and quality assurance programs.Demonstrate ability, once trained, to work independently during evening, weekend shifts and on calls.Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team member under the direction of more senior practitioners, producing an effective work output and quality.Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to comply with organisational policies and procedures, and assist the laboratory to comply with all relevant legislative, administrative, and professional standards including meeting NATA / NPAAC/ ISO / TGA accreditation / certification requirements.Why work with us?Work alongside passionate professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment that values people and prioritises employee success and wellbeing.
