Programs Officer to coordinate the delivery, monitoring and reporting of the NW

Walgett Pilot Project, a key initiative under the $10.9 million 2026/27 Invasive

Vertebrate Pest Program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project focused on improving invasive vertebrate pest management outcomes, strengthening partnerships and supporting regional communities across NSW.

About the Role As the Projects and Programs Officer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating project activities, tracking performance, managing reporting requirements and supporting stakeholder engagement. Working with internal teams,

government agencies, industry and community stakeholders, you'll help ensure project objectives are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include

Coordinate the delivery of the NW Walgett Pilot Project and associated program activities.

Monitor project milestones, budgets, risks and performance indicators.

Prepare project reports, briefings, correspondence and governance documentation.

Support stakeholder engagement and partnership activities across government, industry and community sectors.

Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning, implementation and evaluation.

Contribute to continuous improvement of project management and reporting processes.





Provide timely advice and support to project teams and senior stakeholders.

About You

You are an experienced project professional who enjoys working in collaborative environments and delivering meaningful outcomes.

You will bring

Experience coordinating projects or programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Solid organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.

Excellent written communication skills, including preparing reports, briefings and project documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Proven ability to build productive relationships and work collaboratively across teams and organisations.

A commitment to customer service, accountability and delivering results.
