As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing and delivering successful projects.

As an Estimator at Aussie Fitouts, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial fitout and shopfitting projects from initial tender through to project handover.
Working closely with Project Managers, Designers, Joinery Detailers and our in-house manufacturing team, you'll analyse documentation, identify project risks and opportunities, obtain subcontractor pricing and develop detailed cost estimates that support successful project delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working on exciting hospitality and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities
Tender Preparation
Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications. Complete quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Prepare comprehensive tender submissions. Identify project risks, exclusions and value engineering opportunities. Cost Planning & Estimating
materials, plant and subcontractor costs. Ensure estimates are commercially competitive while maintaining profitability. Supplier & Subcontractor Management
Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Negotiate pricing where appropriate. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and trades.
Continuous
Improvement
Maintain estimating databases and cost libraries. Review completed projects to improve estimating accuracy. Assist with developing estimating systems and processes.

You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of commercial construction and shopfitting.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience estimating commercial fitout and/or shopfitting projects. Sound understanding of construction methods and sequencing. Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings. Strong knowledge of commercial joinery construction. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. High attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Desirable
Experience
Experience within hospitality, retail or commercial fitouts. Joinery estimating experience.
Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Nexvia or similar construction management software. Knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code. Understanding of value engineering and commercial procurement.
