Whilst detached residential homes remain our core business, BXW is expanding into medium-density developments, with an exciting pipeline of industrial projects and childcare centres. The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Residential & Medium Density Estimator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director and working alongside the team, you will deliver accurate, commercially competitive estimates across our detached residential and medium-density projects while contributing to the ongoing development of BXW's estimating systems, processes and product range.

Your primary focus will be developing, maintaining and refining accurate pricing for our standard home range across both Sales and Production. You'll also work alongside our Design and Construction teams to develop practical, cost-effective and commercially competitive outcomes for medium-density developments.

As BXW continues to grow, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to industrial and commercial developments, including warehouses, factories and childcare centres. Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for detached residential homes and medium-density developments.

Develop,



maintain and continually improve pricing for BXW’s standard home range across both Sales and Production.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and pricing for medium-density developments.

Work closely with the Wholesale Sales team to develop competitive house and land packages, investor packages and project-specific pricing.

Review quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) generated from Archicad models and design documentation.

Review and update estimates as supplier pricing, product selections and construction methodologies evolve.

Work collaboratively with the Design team to improve buildability, documentation quality, estimating accuracy and overall product design.

Liaise with the Construction team to capture lessons learnt from completed projects and continuously improve future estimating outcomes.

Maintain estimating databases, pricing libraries and standard cost templates within BXW’s estimating systems.

Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality, compliance and buildability.

Support the ongoing development and refinement of BXW’s estimating systems, workflows and processes.

Assist with estimating industrial and commercial projects as BXW continues to diversify. About you

Minimum 5 years experience estimating within the Australian residential construction industry.

Experience estimating detached residential homes or medium-density residential developments.

Experience using modern estimating software such as Evolve, Databuild,



Buildxact or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods, sequencing and documentation.

Experience reviewing quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

A systems-focused mindset with the ability to improve processes through technology and standardisation.

Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Highly Regarded

Experience using Evolve estimating software.

Experience working within a volume home & medium density builder.
