Events Coordinator PLUS Restaurant Supervisor
Located at Palm Beach on the beautiful Gold Coast, Tallebudgera Surf Club (recently awarded "Best Surf Life Saving Club" and "Best Small Club" 2026), has completed a major multi-million-dollar renovation that has truly transformed the Club. The renovation includes a new state of the art kitchen, a new extended full-service ocean front restaurant, function rooms, a new café and beachside coffee shop.
An opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and proactive Events Coordinator as well as an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our Management Team.
EVENTS COORDINATOR
As the Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering successful events from initial enquiry through to completion. This is a hands on role, assisting in the restaurant. More specifically:
Respond to restaurant group bookings and function enquiries and convert leads into bookings for events, functions, and group experiences
Collaborating with operational teams to ensure every event is planned and delivered to the highest standard
Preparing detailed event documentation and communicating requirements across all departments
Leading client planning meetings, site inspections and event briefings.
Monitoring event delivery, anticipating challenges and providing solutions in a calm, professional manner
Supporting business growth by identifying opportunities for repeat business and assisting with short-lead enquiries
Actively contribute to the business with a ‘hands on’ approach managing FOH service and assisting in the Restaurant as and when required
ABOUT YOU:
Previous experience in event management, hospitality or conference and exhibition operations.
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
A proactive,
solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
Confidence in sales — handling enquiries, closing bookings, and finding new opportunities
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using event management systems highly regarded.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences.
Previous experience as a restaurant supervisor in a fast-paced full-service restaurant (highly desirable)
You are able to work a rotating roster including nights, days, weekends & public holidays
You have a current RSA (or willingness to obtain)
RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR
As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service whilst working alongside and supervising restaurant staff. This is a hands-on role that requires a person with a ‘can do’ attitude, who thrives on challenges and likes working in a team workplace.
ABOUT YOU:
You have at least 1 to 2 years' experience as a restaurant supervisor in a fast-paced full-service restaurant
You have a passion for customers and possess excellent customer service skills
You enjoy the challenge of leading, mentoring and motivating your team
You possess patience and maturity and have the demonstrated ability to help train and develop a team
You are able to work a rotating roster including nights, days, weekends & public holidays
Energetic attitude with a real passion for the hospitality industry
You have a current RSA
You have experience in cash handling and till reconciliation
