Site Supervisor — Event & Marquee Hire About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead our installation crews in office, from marquee bump-in through to pack-down. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be the point person on the ground — coordinating the crew, keeping the client happy, and making sure every job goes up safely, on time, and to spec. This is a hands-on leadership role.
You won't just be managing from the sidelines; you'll be in the thick of it, guiding the team through structural assembly, flooring, walling, and all the trimmings that go with a professional event fit-out. We service the full length of WA, working across luxury weddings, festivals, corporate events, and everything in between — so no two jobs look quite the same, and you'll need to be able to size up a site and lead confidently with minimal oversight. What You'll Be Doing
Leading and supervising installation and pack-down crews across single and multi-day events
Reading and working from site plans and job sheets to ensure the correct structures, sizes, and accessories are installed
Conducting on-site risk assessments and enforcing safe work practices (manual handling, working at heights, weather calls)
Liaising directly with clients and venue staff on-site to resolve issues and manage expectations
Checking equipment against packing lists before and after jobs, and flagging damaged or missing stock
Coordinating logistics with the warehouse and transport team to keep jobs running on schedule
Training and mentoring junior crew members on correct installation techniques
Reporting job completion, incidents, and stock discrepancies back to the operations team What We're Looking For
Marquee installation experience is required — you know structures, flooring, and walling inside out
Ability to self-lead is essential — many jobs will have you running the site with minimal day-to-day oversight, so you need to make sound calls on the spot and know when to loop in the Operations Manager
Strong understanding of site safety practices and willingness to hold others to the same standard
Comfortable with physical work and long or irregular hours, including weekends
Willingness to travel for jobs across WA, sometimes with overnight stays for regional events
Own transport is a must — early starts and late finishes are part of the job, and public transport won't always line up A valid driver's licence (forklift/truck licence a bonus)
Calm under pressure — weather changes and last-minute client requests are part of the job
Great communication skills; you'll be the face of the company on-site, whether it's a backyard wedding or a large-scale festival What We Offer A genuinely friendly, down-to-earth team environment
Variety — from intimate luxury weddings to large-scale festivals, no two weeks look the same
Competitive hourly rate, penalty rates for weekends, nights, and PH work, per diem rate for overnight stays.
