Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Reward and Performance, the Executive Remuneration Principal is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and governing the organisation’s executive reward and performance agenda. The role provides strategic leadership across remuneration strategy, incentive design, governance, disclosure and executive stakeholder engagement, ensuring reward outcomes are aligned to business performance, shareholder expectations and the organisation’s broader strategic priorities.

What you'll do
As a trusted advisor to senior executives and key governance forums, this role will manage the design, oversight and continuous improvement of executive remuneration frameworks in a complex, listed business environment. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, commercial judgement and strong communication and people leadership skills to influence outcomes across the enterprise and support effective decision-making at executive and Board committee level.
Key accountabilities
- Lead the development and governance of the organisation’s executive reward and performance strategy, ensuring frameworks are aligned to business priorities,
market expectations and shareholder outcomes.
- Design, maintain and evolve executive reward structures, including fixed remuneration, short-term incentives and long-term incentives, to support performance, retention and sustainable value creation.
- Lead preparation of the remuneration report and related disclosures for shareholders, proxy advisers and regulators, including coordination of AGM-related remuneration activities.
- Maintain and strengthen remuneration policies within the broader corporate governance environment.
- Prepare high-quality People and Remuneration Committee papers and contribute to executive and Board-level decision-making on remuneration matters.
- Partner with senior executives and People, Culture & Capability teams to provide expert advice on market benchmarking, remuneration trends, incentive plan design and reward governance.
- Oversee share-based incentive plans, including performance rights and restricted shares, ensuring robust governance and compliance with relevant accounting, tax, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across remuneration and performance policies, practices, processes and governance structures to enhance effectiveness.

About you To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Significant experience in a senior remuneration, executive reward or equivalent leadership role within a large, complex listed organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise in executive remuneration strategy, incentive design, reward governance and remuneration disclosure requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory, legal, tax and governance workplace impacting remuneration, with multi-geography remuneration experience desirable.
- Deep understanding of reward methodologies, market benchmarking and performance-aligned remuneration frameworks.
- Advanced analytical capability, commercial judgement and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex information and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Exceptional executive communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage credibly across senior leadership, governance forums and cross-functional teams.
- Proven people leadership capability, including the ability to build team capability, coach others and deliver outcomes through collaboration.
