Role Description The Junior Recruitment Consultant will support end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting initial phone interviews, and coordinating interviews with clients. This contract role is based in Canberra in a hybrid arrangement, with a mix of time in the office and some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining candidate and client records, drafting job advertisements, updating recruitment systems, and assisting with shortlisting and reference checks. The role also involves communicating with candidates about role requirements, timelines, and outcomes, as well as providing administrative support to senior consultants.



The Junior Recruitment Consultant will be expected to learn and apply best practices in recruitment, contribute to team targets, and uphold a qualified, inclusive approach to all candidate interactions.

Qualifications

- Foundational recruitment skills, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, and basic interview coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and clients.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including accurate data entry, documentation, and time management.
- Comfort using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and common office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing responsibilities both onsite in Canberra and from home.
- Demonstrated commitment to fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory hiring practices.
- Interest in the recruitment and IT consulting industry; prior internship or entry-level experience in HR, recruitment, or customer service is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
