Jo The Prospect The Fibre Assurance Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, restoration and recovery of fibre network faults and damage across the Vocus network. This role is operationally focused and accountable for leading complex repair activities involving OSP, ISP, cutovers, migrations, emergency restorations and network remediation work.

The role requires strong technical and operational leadership to coordinate field teams, contractors, vendors and stakeholders to safely restore services, maintain network integrity and minimise customer impact.

The Fibre Assurance Project Manager is responsible for ensuring restoration activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in accordance with operational SLAs, engineering standards and regulatory obligations.

This position participates in an on-call roster to support after-hours restoration, emergency fault response and critical customer activities. You need to be an Australian citizen, able to get the NV1 Security Clearance What you’ll be doing

Fibre Fault Restoration &

- Network Repair: Own the end-to-end resolution of fibre faults and restoration activities including OSP, ISP, cutovers, migrations and emergency repair works.

Lead restoration activities from initial fault identification through investigation, mobilisation, repair, testing, service restoration, handover and final closure.

Coordinate emergency restoration activities to minimise network outages and customer impact.

Manage repair and maintenance activities across the fibre network including pit repair, remediation and replacement works.

Ensure restoration activities are completed safely, efficiently and within agreed SLA and KPI targets.

Coordinate field response activities during planned and unplanned network outages.

Participate in an on-call roster supporting after-hours restoration and operational response activities. Contractor &

- Field Operations Management Coordinate and manage contractors, vendors and field delivery partners including civil, hauling, splicing and testing providers.





Direct field operations and resolve technical, design, permit, access and construction related issues to maintain restoration progress.

Ensure field activities are completed in accordance with approved designs, engineering standards and operational procedures.

Monitor contractor performance, workmanship quality, safety compliance and restoration outcomes.

Ensure effective mobilisation of labour, plant, equipment and materials required for restoration activities. WHS Compliance &

- Governance Ensure all restoration and maintenance activities comply with WHS requirements, fibre engineering standards, contracts, utility codes and regulatory obligations.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all operational and field activities.

Ensure risks, hazards and incidents are identified, managed and escalated appropriately.

Adhere to security requirements for Government customers and critical network infrastructure, ensuring controlled handling of artefacts, documentation and site activities.

Support compliance audits, operational reviews and governance activities as required. Documentation &

- Systems Management Ensure all restoration and repair documentation is maintained to Vocus standards and completed accurately and on time.

- Reporting Manage communications with internal stakeholders, customers, contractors, utilities, local authorities and delivery partners.

Provide accurate reporting on restoration progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and operational performance.

Escalate network risks, delivery impacts and operational constraints with recommended mitigation actions.

Build strong working relationships across Planning, Design, Construction, Operations and Service Delivery teams. What you’ll bring to the role You are an Australian citizen, able to get the NV1 Security Clearance

5+ years Project Manager fibre construction experience including civil, pit & pipe, hauling, splicing and testing/commissioning activities.

Experience and knowledge in telecommunications fibre network deployment. Civil construction experience will be highly regarded.

Strong knowledge of fibre optic networks including OSP, ISP, splicing, testing, cutovers and migrations.

Confident managing stakeholders at all levels with the ability to negotiate and navigate outcomes effectively.

Experience coordinating field operations, contractors and restoration activities in live operational environments.

Demonstrated experience in project management and delivery of complex operational solutions.

Proven ability to manage high pressure restoration activities and network outage responses.

Strong understanding of WHSEQ requirements and safe work practices.

Ability to interpret network designs, construction drawings and technical documentation.

Experience with operational reporting, risk management and restoration governance.

Formal project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 highly regarded.

Understanding of Telecommunications industry regulations including the Telecommunications Act.

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering and/or Project Management preferred.

Ability to interpret relevant legislation, utility requirements and Local Government Authority (LGA) regulations.
