Your new company A major government organisation is establishing an enterprise Artificial Intelligence Centre to govern, assess, and support secure adoption of AI capabilities across the organisation. With demand for AI initiatives rapidly increasing, the organisation is augmenting its team with specialist contractors to build foundational governance and operational capability.

Your new role

You will lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s enterprise AI governance, risk, and assurance framework.

- establishing governance processes
- supporting multiple AI governance committees
- implementing the AI Navigator platform
- producing key governance artefacts required for safe and compliant AI adoption.

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience establishing governance frameworks in large,



complex organisations
- Background in risk management, assurance, compliance, or governance functions
- Strong executive stakeholder engagement capability
- Experience developing policy, frameworks, standards, and governance artefacts
- Excellent written communication skills for executive and governance audiences
- Desirable: experience in AI governance, data governance, or emerging technology governance; government or mandated‑sector experience; knowledge of AI ethics, assurance, and risk frameworks
