Finance Operations Accountant with Compliance Awareness

The Role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of multiple group entities.

This role requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and a high level of integrity. You will work closely with management and external service providers to ensure financial records are accurate, compliant and maintained in a timely manner.

Accuracy, accountability and compliance are fundamental to this position. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of financial integrity, documentation and regulatory awareness in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare supporting schedules and management reports
- Maintain financial data and accounting systems

Compliance & Reporting

- Prepare and lodge BAS
- Ensure financial records comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support audit,



compliance and financial review processes
- Assist with maintaining financial controls and documentation standards
- Support ongoing improvement of financial procedures and internal controls
- Support the Company’s compliance, audit and regulatory reporting requirements where required
- Ensure financial records and supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with internal policies, audit standards and regulatory expectations

Planning & Business Support

- Assist with monthly budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support commission calculation and related financial administration
- Provide financial and operational support to management as required
- Assist with ad hoc finance and business projects

Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ accounting or finance experience in Australia
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- Experience preparing BAS and performing reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Experience within financial services, securities, wealth management, payments, banking or other regulated industries will be highly regarded.

Language Requirement

- Professional English communication skills
- Comfortable working in a bilingual business environment
