These are initial 6-month agency labour hire contracts, with the potential for extension, paying $51.12 per hour + 12% super.

These are initial 6-month agency labour hire contracts, with the potential for extension, paying $51.12 per hour + 12% super.

The Opportunity

As an AO3 Service Officer, you will work within a high-performing contact centre and support members of the public by assisting with debt enquiries and negotiating practical payment solutions. Every conversation is different, requiring empathy, resilience and sound judgement to achieve positive outcomes while working within legislation and policy.

- Answering a high-volume of inbound calls from clients and using effective communication and negotiation skills to help resolve outstanding debts while delivering a positive customer experience.
- Negotiating practical payment arrangements and debt resolution outcomes in line with relevant legislation and policies.
- Reviewing and applying legislation, delegations and debt management procedures to make informed decisions.
- Accurately maintaining client records and navigating multiple systems to manage debtor information and call activity.




- Working collaboratively within a supportive, close-knit team to achieve shared goals and deliver excellent customer service.

About You

We're looking for someone who is resilient, empathetic and enjoys working with people. You'll be confident handling sensitive conversations, able to think on your feet and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resilience, patience and the ability to remain calm when managing challenging conversations.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to help people achieve positive outcomes.
- Confidence using multiple computer systems and learning new technology.
- The ability to interpret policies and procedures, or the aptitude to quickly learn and apply them.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to contribute positively to a close-knit team environment.
- Previous experience in collections, debt recovery or a contact centre environment will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Key Information

- This position is based fully onsite in Ipswich, QLD.
- Successful applicants must be able to pass a Criminal History Check (CHC).
- Two professional references will be required as part of the recruitment process.
- Group interviews will be held onsite during the week commencing 24 August (exact date to be confirmed) - you must be available to attend of shortlisted.
- Successful candidates are expected to commence on Monday 14 September.
