Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) – Funded 3-Year-Old Kindergarten

Location: Narre Warren North, VIC

Position: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our beautiful privately owned and operated 80-place long day care centre in Narre Warren North.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our funded 3-year-old kindergarten program, sharing the room with another Early Childhood Teacher. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely while building strong relationships with children and families, with the potential to take on the full leadership of the kindergarten room in the future.

Our kindergarten program operates with small group sizes, with a maximum of 20 children and an average daily attendance of around 14 children, allowing you to provide meaningful, individualised learning experiences.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

- Delivering a high-quality, play-based kindergarten program.
- Planning engaging inquiry-based learning experiences that reflect children's interests.
- Creating meaningful projects and learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and exploration.
- Working collaboratively with your co-teacher to share responsibilities within the room.
- Building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard (NQS), VEYLDF and Child Safe Standards.
- Documenting children's learning through high-quality programming and assessment practices.
- Organising engaging incursions and enriching experiences throughout the year.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:





- An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (provisional registration will not be considered).
- Current VIT registration.
- Previous experience successfully leading and running a kindergarten room.
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with programming, documentation and planning.
- A sound understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS), Child Safe Standards and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (clear English is essential).
- A genuine passion for play-based learning and inquiry approaches.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a shared leadership role.
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive team-focused attitude.
- Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship opportunities available).
- Availability to work five days per week on rotating shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
