Managing Director – Asia Pacific (Melbourne)

An exceptional prospect exists for an accomplished executive to lead the Asia Pacific operations of a global industrial technology business entering its next phase of growth following a significant acquisition.

Based in Melbourne, this role carries full regional P&L; accountability and offers the chance to lead commercial strategy, operational excellence, manufacturing, customer engagement and market expansion across Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.

This is far more than a traditional General Manager role. You'll have the autonomy to shape regional strategy, build high-performing teams, strengthen key customer relationships and work closely with a global executive leadership team to drive long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall APAC business with full P&L; accountability.
- Develop and execute the regional growth strategy.
- Identify new market opportunities across industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors.
- Drive commercial performance, profitability and operational excellence.
- Build and mentor a high-performing regional leadership team.
- Strengthen relationships with key customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with global functions to deliver strategic initiatives and regional integration.

About You





We're interested in speaking with senior executives who can demonstrate:

- Previous Managing Director, General Manager or Regional Vice President experience.
- Full P&L; responsibility within a complex industrial or technical business.
- Experience leading businesses across Australia and the wider APAC region.
- A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership capability.
- Experience within industrial manufacturing, power generation, environmental technology, engineered products, infrastructure or a related sector.
- Experience leading businesses through acquisition, integration or significant transformation will be highly regarded.
