Procurement Support Officer

Docklands, Australia

Reference:

- Full time (1.0 FTE), Permanent
- Remuneration: Band 1 - $59,638.10 - $66,429.40 + 12% superannuation
- Generous NFP salary packaging options for up to $18,550
- Location - 737 Bourke Street, Docklands Victoria 3008, Close to Southern Cross Train Station, Onsite or Hybrid; WFH (2-3 days).

About the role

As part of the Systems Directorate, you will work alongside an experienced and supportive Procurement team, gaining hands-on experience in procurement processes, governance, contract administration, and project support while contributing to initiatives that help deliver efficient, high-quality health services to the community.

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working collaboratively, and has an interest in procurement, business, project management or public sector operations. About Us

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) - Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in Melbourne's northern, western suburbs and inner-city areas. We help people stay well by commissioning health services to deliver better and more accessible primary care.

- Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of services for community members, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes
- Improving coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place, at the right time.

- Assisting with procurement and contract management activities, including preparing documentation, contract variations, and tender evaluation reports.
- Supporting internal project leads to define procurement objectives, timelines, and market approaches.
- Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards (Excel, Power BI) that provide insightful analytics for executive decision-making.
- Maintaining accurate records in the Contract Management System and supporting compliance with audit requirements.
- Engaging with stakeholders to support procurement workshops, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you:

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.




- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
- A self-starter who shows initiative, takes ownership of tasks, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic workplace.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing practical procurement knowledge.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality work within agreed timeframes.

Extra points if you:

- Have internship, placement, volunteer, or project experience related to procurement, contract management, business administration, project support, or public sector administration.
- Are familiar with contract management principles, procurement processes, or the procurement lifecycle through your studies or practical experience.
