Due to continued growth, an opportunity is available for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Officer to support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and presentation of a diverse commercial property portfolio. Your new role Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring building assets are maintained to a high standard, supporting both operational performance and tenant satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and monitoring preventative and reactive maintenance activities across commercial properties.
- Managing contractor performance, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify maintenance issues and asset improvement opportunities.
- Assisting with compliance obligations, including essential services, WHS requirements, and statutory maintenance programs.
- Responding to tenant maintenance requests and providing outstanding customer service.
- Supporting capital works and minor refurbishment projects.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in facilities, building maintenance, property operations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of commercial building services and maintenance processes.
- Experience managing contractors and service providers.
- Knowledge of WHS requirements and building compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
