Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team delivering life-changing employment, education and training outcomes for young people across our Transition to Work and Inclusive Employment Australia programs.

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting chance for a talented Employment Services Business Manager to lead our flagship site at Kingston. This is more than a management role—it's an opportunity to influence the future of youth employment, develop high-performing teams and drive outcomes that change lives.

Transition to Work (TtW) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) are youth specialist employment service programs that support young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training.

With over 20 years delivering youth specialist employment services, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt. We provide tailored, youth-focused support for young people to get work, skills and practical help to transform their lives, delivered by teams who genuinely care.

Your opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic leader to guide our Kingston Employment Services team. This role oversees the delivery of Transition to Work (TtW) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA), two complementary programs operating under one roof to create a connected, high impact service for young people and employers. Our contracts allow us to work alongside participants in innovative ways, it’s about engagement, not compliance.

As the Business Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across both programs. You will drive performance, strengthen employer and community partnerships, identify growth opportunities and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Through authentic leadership and coaching, you will inspire and develop a diverse team to achieve ambitious goals while delivering exceptional participant experiences. This is an opportunity to build capability, influence change and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people,

employers and the broader community.

Your role will include

- Drive performance across both programs by delivering high quality services, achieving business goals and strengthening community engagement.
- Lead and grow a high performing team by coaching with purpose, building capability and creating a supportive environment where quality services are consistently delivered.
- Grow employer demand and convert it into real job outcomes by co-designing pathways, creating meaningful work trials and using program supports to secure sustainable employment for our members.
- Represent yourtown with confidence by building trusted relationships with employers, schools and community partners and strengthening our presence across the region.
- Achieve objectives and targets across service delivery, financial management, contract compliance and employer engagement.
- Balance strategic focus with hands on operational leadership, adapting your approach to support your team and drive strong performance.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a strategic, people-focused leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and developing high-performing teams. You are an experienced leader who thrives on building capability, driving performance and creating a positive culture where people are challenged, supported and empowered to succeed. You're resilient, organised and thrive in a role where no two days are the same.

You will bring

- Extensive experience within Employment Services, with demonstrated business management and leadership experience.
- Strong business acumen, with a track record of driving performance.

- Demonstrated ability in leading and managing teams and site resources to achieve set targets and performance objectives.
- Well-developed communication, liaison, and networking skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged young people.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of program contract, systems and KPI’s.
- Extensive knowledge of youth employment issues including challenges to employment, strategies to overcome challenges and a demonstrated empathy with young people.

Your benefits

When you join yourtown you will be welcomed into a safe, inclusive, and diverse community and an established and reputable national organisation. We are a resilient, resourceful, and dedicated team who strive to make a difference and not accept the status quo.

Your employment experience will include

- salary packaging of up to $15 900/year (plus additional meal and entertainment benefits, if applicable), helping you maximise your take-home pay
- your choice of either a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off to support work life balance
- Monday to Friday role with a shared team roster that includes a Thursday evening finish (7.00pm) approximately once per month
- ongoing internal and external professional development opportunities
- free access to LinkedIn Learning including over 16,000 learning modules
- a genuine focus on employee health and wellbeing
- yourWellness program includes free access to Calm & Centr Apps
- access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family
- access to discounted private health insurance, banking and finance, insurance, and superannuation through our partner organisations
- a supportive, inclusive and values-driven culture where diversity, cultural capability and belonging are genuinely embraced
- the opportunity to work for a respected national organisation where your work creates meaningful outcomes for young people and communities
