Your new company A rapidly expanding national business in the services sector is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join their Sydney office. With a strong client base across Australia, this privately owned group is experiencing significant growth and offers a explicit pathway to Financial Controller.

Your new role Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day finance operations while supporting strategic initiatives. This is a high-priority appointment designed to relieve the CFO of routine tasks and strengthen the finance function during a period of rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
- Prepare BAS, ABS and statutory returns for CFO review.
- Support debtor management and collaborate with the AR Manager.
- Assist with financial review of new contracts and pricing for tenders.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external accountants.




- Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements.
- Build strong relationships across finance, HR, and payroll teams.

What you'll need to succeed

- Proven experience in reviewing AP/AR, payroll, preparing for month-end/year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with leadership and team members.
- Proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
- MYOB experience preferred.
