Role Description This is a full-time, in office Graduate Electrical Engineer role based in Melbourne, VIC.
The Graduate Electrical
Engineer will assist in the design and analysis of high and low voltage transmission and distribution systems, including preparing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting front-end and detailed design activities, performing engineering studies, and contributing to project reports and specifications. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
The Graduate Electrical
Engineer will also participate in site visits, design reviews, and continuous learning to develop professional skills and technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering applied to power infrastructure projects.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Power Systems and Power Distribution for high and low voltage networks.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Electricity principles, including circuit theory, protection, and safety.
- Candidates should possess or be completing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and standards.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant engineering and design software (e.g., CAD tools, basic power system analysis software); internship or project experience in the power sector is advantageous.
