We are partnering with a high-growth financial services business to appoint a Group Financial Controller into their Sydney finance leadership team.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for financial control, group consolidation, statutory reporting, technical accounting and governance across a complex multi-entity environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining a solid control framework while supporting continued growth and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead group consolidation, statutory reporting and month-end close processes
- Oversee financial control, intercompany accounting and balance sheet governance
- Manage external audit, annual financial statements and compliance obligations
- Provide technical accounting guidance on acquisitions, restructures and complex transactions
- Drive process improvement,
automation and reporting efficiencies across the finance function
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver board reporting, cashflow insights and financial governance
What You'll Bring
- CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in financial control or technical accounting
- Strong knowledge of AASB/IFRS with experience operating in a complex multi-entity environment
- Exposure to acquisition accounting, business combinations or integration activities
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor finance teams
- Hands-on operator with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
