$49.15 to $57.01 per hour + 12% employer contribution to superannuation
REPORTING TO:
Halve Waste Program Coordinator
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Permanent Part Time THE POSITION:
To deliver education programs to the community, schools and businesses that sustains and grows the Halve Waste program through, engagement, analysis and marketing activities in line with the Halve Waste objectives and strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and deliver education programs relating to Halve Waste for community groups, schools and businesses.
- Develop and maintain Halve Waste website, social media content and promotional material relating to Halve Waste.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and consistent educational message.
- Deliver progress reports and data analytics on the Halve Waste Education Programs.
- Promote and support participation in the Halve Waste program to schools, business and community groups.
- Liaise with stakeholders to manage the delivery of the education program.
- Develop and deliver programs to the business sector, including waste assessments.
- Actively seek future opportunities for collaboration and involvement in the community, schools and business sectors.
- Maintain strong relationships with Halve Waste partner organisations.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
- Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Based on a 35 hour week, working a minimum of 23 hours per week, with actual days and times being to be negotiated with the supervisor.
- Additional hours up to 35 hours per week may be worked by agreement, and this will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay.
- This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor.
- This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
- This position involves working in a predominantly indoor workplace and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, such as walking and lifting, along with general manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration is required for this position.
- This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check.
- This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing
- This position is located at the Albury Waste Management Centre, 565 Mudge St Lavington, with frequent visits to external sites/depots and AlburyCity Administration Building as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Qualifications in Environment, Sustainability, Education or related discipline, or relevant working experience
- Class C (standard) Driver's Licence compulsory to have and maintain
EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience working in a waste management, environment, sustainability or education environment
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrated skills and/or understanding of:
- Providing educational and public programs
- Ability to develop curriculum related educational programs and resources
- Aptitude in innovative program design, including use of new technologies in program design
- Knowledge of WHS and risk management practices
- High level:
- Written and verbal communication
- Research skills
- Computer literacy
