The Role You'll be an important part of a small, fast-paced kitchen that prides itself on consistency, creativity, and quality.
You'll prepare and present exceptional meals for daily service, private functions, and special events while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen operations. Working closely with our front-of-house team, you'll help deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.
As our business grows,
there may also be opportunities to work across our new venue and develop your skills within the wider group.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality pub classics, tapas, seasonal dishes, and function menus.
- Deliver consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance with all health regulations.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and operating efficiently, including dishwashing and general cleaning duties.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist with catering for private functions and events.
- Running daily kitchen operations and contribute ideas for menu improvements and specials.
About You You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys cooking great food and takes pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
You'll also have
- AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), or at least three years' relevant industry experience.
- Experience in a premium pub, bistro, tapas venue, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance.
- The ability to thrive in a busy service while staying calm and organised.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support your teammates.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, functions, and across multiple venues when required.
- Australian work rights or a valid visa.
