About the opportunity

Randstad HR Partners is partnering with a well loved Australian Organisation. Are you a pragmatic, hands-on HR leader who thrives in dynamic FMCG/manufacturing environments? We are seeking an experienced Head of HR/ HR Manager to join an ANZ organisation on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week) to partner with their HR Leader and lead its HR team through an exciting period of transition and growth.

This role offers a unique phased transition:

- Initial Phase (2 Months): Work in a job-share / collaborative capacity alongside the Head of HR to get up to speed on operations, management, culture, and key initiatives.
- Cover Phase (Oct - Mid-Jan): Steer the ship full-time / lead the HR function and partner with senior leadership while the Head of HR is on leave, returning to a smooth handover upon her return in January.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership & Operations: Serve as the senior escalation point for all HR, Industrial Relations (IR), and Employee Relations (ER) matters across ANZ.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small, dedicated HR & Payroll team (HR Business Partners, Payroll Specialist, and Safety).
- HR Modernisation: Help drive their ongoing transition from an administrative function to a true strategic business partner, helping navigate change management across the business.
- Key Projects: Oversee the upcoming annual Employee Engagement Survey in September and continue embedding our newly rolled-out HRIS.

What We Are Looking For

- Pragmatic & Hands-On:



A down-to-earth approach-you understand "what good looks like" in modern HR, but you're easy-going, supportive, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
- HR leadership and managment experience of leading HR function and managing a team
- IR/ER Capability: Strong, practical knowledge of Industrial Relations and Employee Relations in a manufacturing or blue-collar environment (24/5 operations experience is highly valued).
- Change Champion: Proven ability to manage relationships thoughtfully and bring stakeholders along on the journey during times of cultural shift and modernising systems.
- Systems Experience: Familiarity with up-to-date HRIS platforms (experience with Employment Hero is a bonus).

Work Setup & Flexibility

- Schedule: 3-4 days per week (consistent days preferred).
- Location: Onsite role at primary site in Wetherill Park to ensure strong leadership coverage for our 24/5 operation, with flexibility on start/finish times and options for 1-2 days of remote work where coverage allows.
