About The Role

The Nurse Unit Manager, Heath Wing 7 is responsible for the provision of leadership and strategic direction to ensure delivery of a high-quality clinical practices and patient care. The Nurse Unit Manager provides the tactical management of operational, financial, human and information resources within their area, liaising with the relevant clinical and support services leaders.

The Nurse Unit Manager is a key leader within of the Directorate and Nursing leadership teams at Barwon Health and as such will contribute to the overall management, performance and outcomes of the organisation by developing professional and cooperative partnerships and participating in committees and groups to support this.

Heath Wing 7 is a 32-bed ward specialising in General Medical and Respiratory care. You will work with an innovative team who maintain extensive knowledge and experience who pride themselves on providing high quality patient centred care in an environment that has modern, well-equipped facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strong clinical and professional leadership to deliver safe, high-quality, consumer-centred care
- Manage operational, financial and workforce resources to meet service delivery and performance requirements
- Lead, support and develop nursing and clerical staff to promote engagement, capability and retention
- Drive quality improvement, safety, and compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards

What We’re Looking For

- A Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and significant clinical leadership experience




- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant nursing specialty and/or health services management (or working towards)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change and deliver service improvements
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to professional development, innovation and evidence-based practice
