Lead innovative electrical engineering projects from concept to commissioning with a growing Brisbane team that values technical excellence and career growth.

As our business continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Reporting to our Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of innovative and practical electrical engineering solutions, helping to achieve successful outcomes for our clients and projects.

Responsibilities

- Engineering activities for all project phases, concept through to commissioning.
- Produce engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, studies, calculations, scopes of work, procurement packages and dossiers.
- Review and approve Electrical and Instrumentation design drawings including, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, termination diagrams and loop diagrams.
- Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, effective delegation and mentorship to our multidiscipline design team.
- Software development including Process Control Configuration, SCADA configuration and power modelling.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and office locations, contributing through all phases of projects, from concept and design to commissioning.
- Assist with construction and commissioning activities, including occasional site-based work and the development of commissioning and completions documentation.
- Project management activities including project planning and deliverable progress reporting.
- Provide succinct updates/reporting and timely escalation of issues.
- Drive development and continuous improvement of electrical design tools, including drawings, datasheets, equipment schedules and models
- Embed Safety in Design principles throughout engineering activities,



conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring compliance.
- Provide transparent project communication, offering concise updates, addressing challenges proactively, and maintaining alignment with stakeholders.
- Develop scopes of work, technical studies, proposals, and capital cost estimates, supporting both project execution and tendering efforts.
- Support onsite activities, including inspections, risk assessments, and commissioning, ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate

- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- CPEng / RPEQ Qualifications
- 7+ years working experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Design experience in the Mining and Industrial sectors is desirable
- Experience in power distribution, PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation
- Competent use of Electrical engineering specific software
- Qualifications in functional safety or hazardous area would be highly regarded
- Experience delivering both greenfield and brownfield projects, from minor works to major scopes.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of AS3000 and a strong foundation in industry codes, design safety standards, and best practices, with a practical, safety-conscious approach to engineering.
- Skilled in technical writing and communication, including proposals, technical reports, and project documentation.
