Housekeeper – Private Family Home

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and highly organised housekeeper to assist in maintaining a busy private family home in Mosman. This is a regular, ongoing casual position for at least two consistent weekdays each week, with the potential for a third day. The role will generally involve approximately four to five hours per day.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, orderly and well-run home and who can work independently, efficiently and without close supervision.

The role

Responsibilities will include:

- Laundry, including washing, drying, folding and putting clothes away
- High-quality ironing
- Changing bed linen and managing household linen
- Tidying and maintaining order throughout the home
- Organising wardrobes, cupboards and children’s belongings
- Keeping bedrooms and living areas neat and well presented
- Kitchen tidying and general household reset
- Minor cleaning as required, including wiping surfaces, vacuuming small areas and attending to anything that needs attention between regular cleaner visits
- Identifying tasks that need to be done and taking initiative
- Assisting with occasional household organisation projects

We have separate regular cleaners,



so this is not primarily a heavy cleaning role. The emphasis is on laundry, ironing, tidying, organisation and helping the household run smoothly, with some light cleaning where needed.

About you

The successful applicant will be:
- Experienced in housekeeping, private-home work or a similar role
- Highly reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- An excellent ironer with robust attention to detail
- Naturally organised and able to work efficiently
- Proactive and comfortable deciding what needs to be done
- Discreet and respectful of family privacy
- Comfortable working in a home with three young children
- Interested in a stable, long-term role

Recent, contactable references are essential.

Hours and pay

- At least two regular weekdays each week
- Potential for a third weekday
- Approximately four to five hours per day
- Usually eight to fifteen hours per week
- Daytime hours
- $55–$60 per hour, depending on experience
- Mosman location
- Long-term role available for the right person
