Kinder Caring is seeking reliable, self-motivated and compassionate independent domestic cleaning contractors to provide cleaning and household support in clients’ homes across the Lake Macquarie NSW area.

This opportunity is suitable for both individual cleaning contractors and small cleaning businesses looking to expand their in-home client base. It is ideal for experienced providers who value flexibility, autonomy and meaningful work—whether you want to grow your business or complement your existing client commitments.

Contractors can select their preferred service areas through the Kinder Caring App.

About the opportunity

Provide high-quality domestic cleaning and household assistance that helps clients maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home.

Through the Kinder Caring App, approved contractors can view client opportunities and choose the work that suits their availability, preferred locations and business capacity.

Contractors set their own rates through the App, subject to any applicable maximum rates for the relevant service or funding arrangement.

Opportunities may include regular, temporary and one-off services for aged care, NDIS, insurance-funded and privately funded clients.

Cleaning services may include

- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
- Dusting furniture, fixtures and accessible surfaces




- Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and bathrooms
- Cleaning mirrors and internal glass
- Changing bed linen
- Assisting with laundry and ironing
- Emptying household bins
- Maintaining general household cleanliness and tidiness
- Following agreed cleaning schedules and reasonable client preferences
- Identifying and reporting household hazards or other concerns affecting safe service delivery

Contractor responsibilities

- Provide reliable, thorough and high-quality cleaning services in accordance with the agreed service requirements
- Work safely and carefully, including taking reasonable steps to protect clients, their homes and belongings
- Treat clients respectfully and maintain their dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Supply suitable cleaning equipment and products unless otherwise agreed
- Use cleaning products safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Follow the accepted service requirements and reasonable client instructions
- Use the Kinder Caring App to record attendance and complete required service notes
- Promptly report incidents, hazards, property damage, complaints and other relevant concerns
- Maintain all required business registrations, screening clearances and insurances

Requirements

Applicants must have

- Demonstrated domestic, residential or commercial cleaning experience
- A high standard of cleaning and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage appointments reliably
- An active ABN
- Public liability insurance appropriate for domestic cleaning services




- Workers compensation insurance where required for any employees or personnel used by the business
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance where required, or willingness to obtain one
- Australian working rights
- Reliable transport to travel between clients’ homes across [region]
- A valid driver licence and appropriately registered and insured vehicle where required
- Suitable qualified cleaning equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of the safe use, storage and handling of cleaning products
- The physical capacity to safely perform domestic cleaning duties
- A smartphone with reliable internet access
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- A reliable, respectful and client-focused approach
- Two relevant professional or business references

Where a cleaning business uses employees or other personnel to provide services, each person must satisfy Kinder Caring’s applicable screening, competency, onboarding and service requirements.
