The Role

Auto & General is seeking a Contract Project Manager to deliver our Top of Funnel Program which is a strategic portfolio of initiatives designed to grow quote volume and improve conversion across direct and partner brands.

You’ll drive end-to-end delivery across the full project lifecycle (Ideation through to delivery) using our delivery framework, working across Marketing, Technology, Sales & Service, Compliance, Legal, and White Label Partners with minimal direction and a strong track record of getting things delivered.

Position Accountabilities

Program and Project Delivery

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent Top of Funnel initiatives through A&G; delivery framework phase gates, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery principles

Manage end-to-end project delivery across cross-functional teams, maintaining momentum and accountability at all levels

Champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement

Ensure adherence to the A&G; delivery framework, including stage-gate requirements, governance artefacts, and reporting cadences

Initiate and embed operational delivery for teams, ensuring adherence to sprint ceremonies and best practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the business, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and priorities

Manage reporting obligations, including preparation of update papers and resourcing requests

Risk and Issue Management

Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies across the program

Proactively address impediments that hinder the progress of delivery teams, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks to project timelines and deliverables

Resource and Vendor Coordination

Coordinate resources, including project team members, SME contributors, vendors, and external consultants, to optimise productivity and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones

Governance and Reporting

Define and track project metrics and KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders

Maintain all required Ignite artefacts at each phase gate

Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, and timeframes

Actively identify and resolve delivery related impediments

Contribute to post-phase retrospectives and apply learnings across the program

What experience you’ll bring

- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience, with at least 2 years managing complex, cross-functional programs
- Demonstrated experience delivering through structured governance frameworks (PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) — able to flex between Agile and waterfall approaches
- Proven track record managing projects in regulated environments, ideally in financial services or insurance
- Experience managing projects with significant technology, compliance, and marketing
- Strong stakeholder management skills-comfortable working with and reporting to senior executives

Highly Desirable





- Experience in customer acquisition or marketing technology programs
- Familiarity with GCP-based data platforms and marketing automation systems
- Experience with governance body reporting
- Exposure to insurance, fintech, or direct to consumer digital businesses

Location – Toowong

Ensure clear, consistent communication across all project workstreams — no surprises

Provide regular status updates to the Head of Delivery and program sponsors, leveraging data to drive informed decision-making

Risk and Issue Management

Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies across the program

Proactively address impediments that hinder the progress of delivery teams, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks to project timelines and deliverables

Escalate where required; resolve where possible

Maintain a live risk register aligned to Ignite requirements and A&G;'s risk appetite

Resource and Vendor Coordination

Coordinate resources, including project team members, SME contributors, vendors, and external consultants, to optimise productivity and ensure the timely delivery of project milestones

Manage any vendor or third-party relationships relevant to the program

Ensure quality outcomes through effective collaboration with testing teams, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Governance and Reporting

Define and track project metrics and KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders

Maintain all required Ignite artefacts at each phase gate

Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, and timeframes

Actively identify and resolve delivery impediments

Contribute to post-phase retrospectives and apply learnings across the program
