Job Description

- To provide clinical expertise and excellent service in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine (including in-theatre, acute pain, preadmission clinic, delivery-suite, and other clinical and non-clinical duties as determined by the director of anaesthesiology and perioperative medicine)

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer this role plays an important role in providing direction and guidance to the Anaesthetic group across a range of responsibilities.

The Department provides a Preadmission Clinic, Acute Pain Service and access to wide range of anaesthetic experience.

The Hospital the regional provider of health services in Gippsland.Gippsland provides a fantastic regional lifestyle with easy access to Melbourne. It also has outstanding facilities following a recent expansion. These include a cardiac catheterisation laboratory,



large Emergency Department, endoscopy suites and contemporary and contemporary inpatient units. These complement extensive Allied Health amenities including a gym and pool.

Reporting to the Unit Manager the successful applicant will be required to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team; apply theoretical knowledge and experience in determining the appropriate clinical diagnosis, investigations and treatment of patients; and supervise registrars/provisional trainees as appropriate, HMOs and interns in the Anaesthetics Department of the Hospital.
