Your Role

As a Gensler Senior Interior Designer, your job is to combine creativity and technical skills with a thorough understanding of the design to produce highly creative, environmentally conscious and budget responsive spaces for clients. You should have exceptional conceptual design skills, a background in hospitality design or interior architecture and a portfolio of innovative design concepts.

This position will be based in Melbourne.

What You Will Do

- Lead interior design assignments across F&B;, hospitality, and lounge projects, including concept design, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Provide creative and strategically minded design leadership, supporting the organisation, production, and execution of projects from concept through delivery
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal and external teams, including consultants, contractors, fabricators, and specialist partners, to achieve design, programme, and budget objectives




- Lead and participate in design development and iteration, producing 3D models and visualisations using Revit, SketchUp, Enscape (or similar)
- Generate and review interior architectural drawings, driving technical resolution and detailing, ensuring design intent is clearly communicated and buildable
- Work closely with product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to realise design, brand, and budget goals
- Act as a client‑facing design lead, supporting presentations, managing feedback, and helping to build and sustain solid client relationships within the hospitality and F&B; sector
- Guide and mentor teams, supporting multiple projects at a high level while fostering a collaborative studio environment
- Contribute to business development efforts, supporting the growth of the studio’s F&B; and hospitality portfolio
