Seeking a Piano/Keyboard Teacher/Instructor (Permanent Casual Employment)
- You will be a valued Permanent Casual Employee (no contracting, no invoicing, no ABN/insurance required) with Super paid weekly and accumulation of Long Service Leave.
- Two set days/week during school hours within the school terms with potential fill in work
- Mooroolbark/Lilydale/surrounds (VIC) area in local Primary schools with already established enrolments.
- All Equipment is provided during employment.
- All enrolments are handled by the Owner/Director.
- Training provided
About the role: To teach a well-established ‘Piano on Keyboard’ Program to Beginner-level Primary school students in a small group setting of 3 students/group (taught individually) and some private lessons.
There is potential for after-school private teaching work in the student’s home or your home (if you have a suitable set up and live locally).
Minimal admin duties (majority of the Administration duties are the Owner/Director’s responsibility).
You will be well supported with a Music School policy in place, Admin support, Professional Teaching advice, and a outstanding Team!
Prior teaching experience an advantage but as training will be provided and required, entry level candidates with relevant music experience/qualifications will be considered.
The right candidate will ideally:
- Live locally to the area (Yarra Ranges/Maroondah/Surrounding Municipalities of the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne
- Looking to start their Music Teaching career (with proven exam results &/or music qualifications) and can commit Long Term (please don’t apply if you’re only seeking short term work); Or
- An Experienced Piano/Keyboard Teacher who is wanting to add to their existing teaching schedule or looking to reduce their workload by solely working for our Team, two days/week.
Requirements for this role:
- Australian residents only with fluent, English (native first language)
- Proven experience and/or piano exam certificates (AMEB, ANZCA, etc) and/or music qualifications (you must include this on your application to be considered)
- Working with Children check (or willing to apply for one if successful)
- Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle (with room to carry equipment).
- You must be available during the school terms (inc potential fill in work) and easily contactable, especially during enrolment week (2nd week of the school holidays) and be responsive to emails and sms.

If your applications proceeds to the next stage, you must be available immediately for Training sessions conducted via Zoom with the Owner/Director for 2-3 sessions (approx. 2hrs/session) or as required prior to commencement.
Pay: $42.00 – $48.00 per hour
