About the Role

In this role, you will play a vital part in the delivery of a broad range of urological procedures, including endoscopic, laparoscopic and open surgeries. Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and fellow theatre staff, you will ensure procedures are conducted smoothly,



safely and to the highest clinical standards.

- Preparing and setting up surgical instruments and specialised urological equipment for each procedure
- Performing scrub and/or scout duties across a range of urological surgeries
- Conducting thorough pre-operative safety checks in line with best-practice perioperative protocols
- Handling and operating essential specialised equipment including endoscopic systems, laser devices and irrigation systems
- Assisting the surgical team throughout procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintaining a safe, sterile theatre environment and adhering to infection prevention and control standards
- Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participating in team education activities

Selection Criteria

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience as a scrub and/or scout nurse, with experience in urology surgical procedures highly desirable
