LABOURER (ELECTRICAL & REFRIGERATION SUPPORT)

Salary: $73,000 - $80,000 (Annually)

About Us

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Labourer (Electrical & Refrigeration Support) who will provide hands‑on, manual support to qualified electricians and refrigeration/air conditioning technicians across residential, commercial, and remote project sites. The role is focused on assisting with installation, maintenance, and servicing activities, ensuring effective site operations and safe handling of tools and materials.

This is a non-trade, non-supervisory position involving physically demanding work under direction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist electricians and refrigeration technicians with installation of electrical and air conditioning systems
- Transport, load, and unload tools, equipment, and materials at job sites
- Prepare work areas, including clearing spaces, setting up ladders, and positioning equipment
- Perform basic manual tasks such as drilling, cutting, trenching, lifting, and assembling components under supervision
- Assist with installation of air conditioning units, ducting, piping, and associated equipment




- Support servicing and maintenance activities, including cleaning units and components
- Handle and organise materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow on site
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas in accordance with WHS requirements
- Follow instructions from qualified tradespersons at all times
- Assist with travel and work on remote sites where required

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or air conditioning environments (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to carry out physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team

Licences and Requirements

- White Card (Construction Induction Card) – required
- Driver's licence – preferred
- Ability to work in remote locations and in high-temperature environments
- Work across residential, commercial, and remote sites in Central Australia
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat and dust
- Regular manual handling and physically intensive tasks
