This role focuses on delivering TfNSW Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) design packages across major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in influencing construction staging and traffic strategies through strong technical expertise and solution-focused design.

The role also involves ensuring technical compliance and identifying opportunities to improve design delivery efficiencies across TTM packages on major TfNSW transport infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity

Due to a strong pipeline of transport infrastructure projects, we are seeking a motivated and technically capable Senior Civil Designer to join our expanding Sydney team.





This role is responsible for delivering civil and Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) design packages across major infrastructure projects.

You will help ensure engineering packages are:

- Delivered on program
- Technically compliant with project specifications
- Aligned with client expectations

You will work extensively with OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD and AutoTurn delivering TTM design packages for major TfNSW infrastructure projects. Designers with experience in OpenRoads, MX, Civil 3D or other road design platforms transitioning to OpenRoads are encouraged to apply.

The role combines technical leadership, client coordination and delivery accountability. You will work closely with engineers, clients and project stakeholders to ensure TTM design packages are delivered efficiently, accurately and on time.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- 5+ years’ experience in civil design, ideally within road infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of civil road design principles and design standards
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD and AutoTurn
- Experience interpreting project specifications and reviewing engineering drawings for technical compliance
- Experience with Temporary Traffic Management (TTM), staging or constructability planning (highly regarded)
- Strong initiative, accountability and problem-solving capability
- Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing 3D models, drawings and technical documentation
- Ability to communicate engineering information clearly and work independently
