About the role

Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking applications for a Lead - Data Analytics & Digital Solutions to join the Business Services team in this permanent, full-time opportunity based at South Brisbane.

This role leads Power BI delivery, collaborates with teams to maintain data quality and governance and supports data-driven decision-making to improve operational performance and Queensland Health reporting. The Lead – Data Analytics & Digital Solutions will report to the Senior Director Commercial and Contract Performance, driving advanced analytics and digital solutions across the Partnership Facilities.

Salary range: $70.32 - $75.47 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing The Lead – Data Analytics & Digital Solutions will drive the strategic development and delivery of advanced analytics and digital solutions aligned with organisational priorities, ensuring high-quality, governed, and innovative Power BI reporting and insights that enhance decision-making and operational performance across the Partnership Facilities.

- Define, maintain and communicate the analytics and digital solutions roadmap aligned with strategic priorities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise Power BI dashboards and data models
- Deliver actionable insights through effective data storytelling and visualisation techniques
- Prioritise digital initiatives based on business value, risk and stakeholder needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications and manage expectations
- Own and manage the analytics backlog, participating in agile sprint planning and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure data governance, quality,



compliance and security across all analytics solutions
- Support integration, optimisation, troubleshooting and maintenance of analytics platforms
- Foster innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and promoting automation and AI-enabled insights
- Mentor teams and promote self-service analytics capabilities across the organisation

About you

You have a strong background in data analytics and digital solutions, with extensive experience in complex health environments, advanced Power BI skills, and a deep understanding of Queensland Health reporting and data governance.

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- Minimum five years’ experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics or Enterprise Reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of Queensland Health reporting frameworks and data collections
- Proven experience delivering analytics and digital solutions in hospital or health settings
- Expert Power BI development skills, including data modelling, DAX, and visualisation
- Proficient with SQL Server, T-SQL, and managing complex enterprise data environments
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective digital solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with data governance, quality management and information security principles
- Postgraduate qualifications and experience with Microsoft 365, Azure Data Services, and Power Platform is desirable
