About you

We are looking for a passionate career Legal Assistant who is eager to bring their experience and strong organisational skills to this role. You will ideally have at least 3-5 years relevant experience from a law firm together with the motivation to take ownership of your next role and build long-term relationships with your key operators.

A strong work ethic and attention to detail, the ability to manage conflicting priorities and keep on top of deadlines are some of the key qualities we are looking for, in addition to sound Microsoft Office and general IT skills. Although you may not have prior experience within a corporate practice, you will have excellent experience in other well-regarded practices with a strong desire to learn new skills.

Your role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join our Disputes and Investigation practice group in a permanent, full-time position. This role is an integral part of this fun, growing, fast-paced and supportive team, and there will be other legal assistants to lean on for extra support both on the ground and across our other offices.

The group covers a range of legal services in the areas of banking and commercial litigation, corporate and personal insolvency, and financial services regulatory work representing local and national clients.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Preparation of documents and correspondence
- File maintenance – opening, closing and archiving files (electronic and physical filing)
- Secretarial/administrative support to multiple authors
- Attending to telephone calls and enquiries (incoming and outgoing)
- Preparing bills, cheque requisitions and other accounts related matters




- Maintaining databases and contact registers for fee earners
- Preparation and collation of mail including scanning, faxing, and printing
