Joining the Legal and Compliance function at JLR means becoming a critical part of the teams which enables us to create exceptional vehicles. We are a busy legal team who collaborate across the whole organisation on a wide variety of commercial, compliance and regulatory matters. The role will provide an enthusiastic Solicitor, with solid litigation and consumer law experience, with a real opportunity to work with a cross-functional international team to shape the future of JLR, as the legal counsel primarily supporting our Australia market.

Responsibilities

Assisting and / or managing litigation within Australia;

Advising, drafting and negotiating on a variety of commercial, consumer and regulatory matters, many of which will be of high value and complexity.

Managing a high and varied workload

Agile and flexible understanding that no two days are ever the same

Lateral thinking, analysing and challenging business decisions & influencing stakeholders





Cross-functional and cross-border collaboration, building a strong network of stakeholders A key team player, being flexible to undertake any other work as required by the team in connection with their job and as may be requested from their manager from time to time Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor who is registered to practice within Australia, with strong proven experience as a litigation and consumer law specialist Required Skills

Good commercial acumen, with the ability to identify legal and commercial risks and provide solution driven advice

Able to deliver quality, consistency & attention to detail in a demanding environment

Able to travel domestically when needed (occasional)

Able to work on site at Mascot office (free parking available) Preferred Skills

Experience in an in-house role

Experience in the automotive and/or consumer goods sectors

Experience in Privacy and Franchise law
