About Us
Omnirex Partners Pty Ltd (ACL 575057) is a Sydney-based finance brokerage headquartered in Chatswood, working with clients across Australia.
We hold accreditations with more than 40 lenders — spanning major banks, specialist financiers and private funders across the prime, near-prime and non-conforming segments. That breadth is what allows us to place transactions other brokerages turn away.
Our work covers asset and equipment finance, secured and unsecured business lending, commercial finance, personal loans and home loans. Recent transactions range from unsecured working capital facilities for growing businesses through to a $1M aircraft facility for a client importing a new aircraft from Canada — the kind of deal that only settles when the structure is right from the outset.
Omnirex Partners was named Best New Partner at the 2025 ALG Finance Awards , recognition of both our deal quality and the strength of our lender relationships.
That is our reputation in a sentence: we turn opportunities into outcomes. We think structurally rather than reactively, we know where each lender's appetite genuinely sits, and we build long-term client relationships rather than transactions.
The Role
We are seeking a full-time Lending Consultant to join our Chatswood team in a hybrid role offering both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
You will manage lending opportunities from initial client enquiry through discovery, structuring and credit assessment, across asset and equipment finance, secured and unsecured business loans, commercial facilities and consumer lending including personal loans. This is a hands-on origination and client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys direct client contact, understands lender appetite, and can structure a deal correctly from the outset.
You will work closely with our Credit Specialists, referral partners and lender BDMs, and will play a direct part in the continued growth of our lending book.
Key Responsibilities
Deal origination and client management
- Manage inbound enquiries and referral leads; qualify clients and identify funding needs
- Conduct client discovery to establish purpose of funds, funding amount, term, security position and structure preferences
- Present finance options clearly, explaining rate, term, fees, balloon or residual settings and total cost so clients can make informed decisions
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources including accountants, dealers, vendors and existing clients
- Maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM, with disciplined follow-up and clear file notes
Structuring and credit assessment
- Structure asset finance transactions across chattel mortgage, hire purchase, finance lease, rental and novated arrangements, and assess asset type and age against lender parameters
- Structure secured and unsecured business lending, including working capital, cash flow and term facilities, and assess appropriate security positions
- Structure consumer lending including personal loans and consumer vehicle finance, assessing income, living expenses and existing commitments to establish suitability and affordability
- Analyse serviceability and risk using BAS, ATO portal and tax position, business bank statements (Illion), P&L; and balance sheets, PAYG income and Equifax credit files
- Assess property-backed vs non-property-backed positions, existing unsecured lender exposure, and adverse credit history
- Match each deal to the right lender based on current appetite, pricing, doc requirements and turnaround
Compliance
- Ensure all applications and lending processes meet company standards and regulatory obligations, including the NCCP Act, responsible lending and Best Interests Duty obligations on consumer-regulated transactions, AML/CTF and KYC requirements, and the Privacy Act
- Maintain complete and audit-ready file documentation on every transaction
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English is a must. A substantial portion of our client base is Chinese-speaking, and you will need to conduct client meetings, explain finance options and prepare correspondence confidently in both languages. Applications from candidates who are not fluent in both cannot be considered.
- Proven ability to interpret financial information — PAYG income, BAS, business bank statements, P&L; and balance sheets — and assess affordability and credit risk
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to explain options clearly and manage expectations
- High attention to detail across documentation and compliance, supporting fast and accurate credit decisions
- Robust stakeholder management, collaborating effectively with clients, lenders, accountants and internal teams
- Results-driven, with strong time management, pipeline control and the ability to work to deadlines and targets
Highly regarded
- Prior experience in broking, banking, asset finance, business lending, consumer lending or financial services
- Existing familiarity with Australian lender panels across prime, near-prime and non-conforming segments
- Cert IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking; MFAA or FBAA membership
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
- Established referral network within the accounting, dealer or vendor sectors
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus a commission structure that rewards performance
- Hybrid working arrangement from our Chatswood office
- Access to a broad, well-established lender panel and direct BDM relationships
- Mentoring from experienced Credit Specialists and genuine progression pathways
- Ongoing training, accreditation support and compliance resourcing
- A collaborative team setting where creative deal structuring is encouraged, not discouraged
