The team supplies fixed-wing and rotary maintenance services and personnel support, focusing on minimizing aircraft and fleet downtime while aligning with each client’s strategic and operational requirements.
Role Description This is a full-time, in office Licensed Aircraft Engineer role based in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
The Licensed Aircraft
Engineer will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fixed-wing and/or rotary aircraft, including troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of airframes, engines, and aircraft systems in accordance with CASA/EASA and company standards.
Responsibilities include conducting and documenting maintenance tasks, ensuring airworthiness and regulatory compliance, supporting component repair activities,
and collaborating with technicians and engineering teams to meet operational timelines. The role will also involve reading and interpreting technical manuals, contributing to continuous improvement of maintenance processes, and supporting safe, efficient turnaround of aircraft for defence and commercial customers.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Aircraft Maintenance, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of maintenance activities.
Proficiency working with Aircraft and Aircraft Systems, with the ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and regulatory requirements.
Relevant Type Rating on commonly operated fixed-wing and/or rotary platforms, with current or recently held licenses aligned with CASA and/or EASA standards.
Solid understanding of Aeronautics principles as they relate to aircraft performance, safety, and maintenance practices.
Recognized Licensed Aircraft Engineer qualification (e.g., CASA Part 66, EASA Part 66) and eligibility to work in Australia.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, and adapt to dynamic operational demands.
Experience in defence and/or commercial aviation environments and familiarity with MRO operations and composite/structures repair is highly beneficial.
