What do you need to become a light rail driver?

- You must have a proven record of safe driving on the road and have a current NSW Drivers Licence (C Class) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience on your full licence (not including Learners/Provisional).
- Being a full time light rail driver means a commitment to shift work and being available to work on a rotating roster, minimum 38 hours per week. Your shifts will include early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays.
- We have an uncompromising attitude to the safety of our employees, clients, and customers. It is important that you are medically fit to perform the functions of a light rail driver and our pre-employment medical checks including drug & alcohol testing will confirm this. Our recruitment process also includes police, licence, and right-to-work checks.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and experience at communicating with a broad range of stakeholders are also essential.
