Complete Parts is growing across NSW, QLD and WA, and we’re expanding our machining capability to support increasing rebuild demand across major mining equipment and components.

We’re looking for an experienced Line Boring Machinist to join our workshop team, working on large mining equipment and structural components.

This role suits someone who enjoys precision machining on large equipment, solving alignment challenges, and restoring worn components back to OEM tolerances.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the setup, alignment and machining of bores on heavy equipment and structural components within our rebuild workshop.

Typical work includes:

- Setup and operation of portable line boring equipment
- Machining worn bores, pin locations and housings
- Restoring OEM tolerances on large components and machine frames
- Precision measurement and alignment work
- Supporting machine and component rebuild teams
- Maintaining high quality standards and machining accuracy

This is workshop based machining on major equipment, not small bench machining.

No FIFO, no site travel, be home every day.

The Type of Machinist We’re Looking For

This role suits a machinist who enjoys the challenge of precision setup and alignment on large equipment, not repetitive small part machining.

You take pride in:

- Getting setups right the first time
- Holding tight tolerances on large components
- Solving alignment and wear issues on heavy equipment
- Producing work that rebuild teams trust and rely on

Lifestyle Roster

• 4 days on, 3 days off, long weekend every week

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced Line Boring Machinist

- Experience operating portable line boring equipment
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Experience working on heavy equipment, mining equipment or large structural components highly regarded
- Solid understanding of machining tolerances and alignment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to set up and complete machining work with minimal supervision
- Strong problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Reliable, safety focused and team oriented attitude
- Good time management and ability to prioritise competing work demands
