St Agnes Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), Mt Gravatt, is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Casual Educator to join our vibrant team. Supporting up to 180 children, our service provides engaging Before School Care (BSC), After School Care (ASC) and Vacation Care (VAC) programmes within a welcoming and inclusive school community.
As a Casual Educator, you'll help create a secure, fun and supportive environment where children can learn, play and thrive. Working alongside our leadership team and educators, you'll contribute to meaningful experiences that foster children's wellbeing, confidence and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the wellbeing of primary school-aged children.
- Assist in delivering engaging, play‑based activities and experiences.
- Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
- Encourage children's creativity, independence and participation through play.
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of our BSC, ASC and VAC programmes.
- Follow service policies, procedures and child safety practices at all times.
Job Requirements
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines (desirable but not essential).
- Current completion or willingness to complete prior to commencement of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- A passion for the education and care of school‑aged children in a play‑based environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire.
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace.
