Position Overview

Flexible and exciting opportunity for a Participation Officer (PO) at Hockey Victoria. The PO is the high‑energy, friendly face of hockey in schools and local communities and ensures every child enjoys hockey.

Remuneration: $35 to $45 per hour. Casual position.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

- Running fun, high‑energy sessions in primary and secondary schools, school holiday programs, and community clinics.
- Ensuring everyone is included by creating a secure, welcoming, and loud environment where kids of all skill levels can succeed.
- Helping kids find a local pathway by informing them how they can keep playing at their local junior hockey clubs after school clinics conclude.
- Bringing major events to life by running premium holiday camps, handing out merchandise showbags, and making kids feel like professional athletes for the day.

What We Need From You





- Infectious energy and enthusiasm – you love working with kids and know how to keep a large group engaged.
- An inclusive mindset – you prioritise fun and effort over perfect technique.
- Coaching experience, a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), and reliable transport to reach different school venues.

Essential Requirements

- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Driver’s Licence

Desirable Criteria

- Relevant Coaching Accreditation
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Provide/Perform CPR certification
