Job Overview

Reporting to the Park Manager, a Casual Housekeeping Attendant will create a clean, safe, and inviting environment at our Soldiers Point Holidays site. You will provide exceptional experiences for guests and residents while enjoying a coastal lifestyle.

Location

Soldiers Point Holidays, Ingenia Holidays—waterfront destination surrounded by pristine beaches, boating adventures, and Port Stephens.

Park Manager or Community Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Clean rooms, cabins, common areas, and other work areas to meet health and guest standards.
- Carry linen, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies to and from cleaning areas.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using appropriate equipment.
- Make beds and tidy rooms.
- Dust, clean, disinfect, and/or polish furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
- Collect rubbish, empty garbage containers, and transport to waste areas.
- Restock supplies in rooms and other areas.
- Check appliances are working and report repairs needed to Maintenance.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas; assist with stock takes.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Report damage, safety risks, theft, and found articles to management.




- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

- Attention to detail and pride in producing a spotless, welcoming space.
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a fun, supportive team.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and genuine passion for hospitality.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, bend, twist, and move frequently; use of cleaning equipment, PPE such as gloves and facemasks.
- Current “C” class driver’s licence (desirable).
- Experience working as part of a team to meet guest requests and deliver good service.
- Experience in hospitality cleaning and meeting expected standards within deadlines.
- Experience communicating effectively with team members (e.g., via radio, mobile phone).
- Knowledge of chemical safety, handling, usage, storage, and transport.
- Knowledge of manual handling practices and safety hazard identification.
- Knowledge of Ingenia policies, SOPs, and systems (e.g., Tribe).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented role and adapt to varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting, muscular force, bending, twisting, stretching, and walking around the site. Use of cleaning equipment, products, chemicals, and PPE such as rubber gloves and facemasks is required. Ability to handle unpleasant and confronting messes while maintaining professionalism.

Health, Safety and Environment Obligations

- Follow Ingenia’s HSE Policy and any reasonable instructions from supervisors.
- Help identify, assess, and control risks and hazards at work.
- Report any accidents, injuries, hazards or corporate/regulatory risks to your manager and the HSE team.
