Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres at Goodman

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help deliver hyperscale AI data centre projects at scale.

This role is for someone who understands the technical detail of critical environments and wants to apply that expertise on projects that are large, complex and built for the long term.

You’ll work closely with our Engineering Manager, Design Managers, consultants, contractors, vendors and customers to support the design and delivery of high-performance mechanical infrastructure across our Melbourne data centre campus.

What You’ll Be Working On

- Supporting the design, implementation and performance of mechanical systems for data centre facilities
- Reviewing technical designs, RFIs and submittals across mechanical and related disciplines
- Working with vendors and consultants to assess equipment, technical solutions and customer requirements
- Contributing to design reviews, project documentation, lessons learned and ongoing optimisation
- Helping shape Goodman’s technical standards,



including our Basis of Design and Technical Performance Requirements

What We’re Looking For

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least five years’ experience in data centres, critical facilities or similar high-performance environments
- Experience with air systems, water systems, controls and ancillary services
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Understanding of Victorian mechanical codes, standards and authority requirements
- The confidence to work independently, with remote support from a growing national team
