ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Procurement Officer at Norton Gold Fields, you will engage with internal/ external stakeholders to provide expertise to support strategic business objectives, including but not limited to expediting, logistics, contract management, procurement activities, and category management.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Preparing and distributing RFQ/RFP or tender documentation and purchase orders for high-value items.
- Overseeing the evaluation of bids and ensuring orders align with specifications.
- Ensuring timely delivery by coordinating with logistics companies.
- Identifying cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality.
- Building strong supplier relationships to maximise business contributions.
- Providing vital support for all sites and coordinating spare parts delivery
- Any other duties as required.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within the resources sector.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of procurement experience required.
- Qualification in Commerce or a relevant field (highly regarded).
- Chinese (Mandarin) language skills (highly desirable)
- Experience using SAP is highly regarded.
- Competent user of the MS Office suite and other relevant supply chain software and applications.
- Ability to calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
