Reporting directly to the Property Services Team Leader at McQuoin Park, you will maintaining a physically safe, well maintained and secure home environment for our residents. Within this role you’ll be responsible for:
Executing the preventative maintenance program throughout the residential aged care home
Performing reactive repairs on items within the home as the need arises
Managing the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures To be successful in this role you’ll need A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building services
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Hands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman or building services role
Strong understanding of the practical application of workplace health and safety legislation
Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
Great IT skills
Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
